YOUNG STARS 54 MILDENHALL 35

Wednesday May 04, 2016
KING'S Lynn Young Stars made it two home wins out of two with a comprehensive 54-35 victory over Mildenhall.

The Stebbings Car Superstore Young Stars continued their terrific start at the Adrian Flux Arena in an eventful Travel Plus National League encounter.

The clash saw three of the four reserves forced to withdraw from the meeting, including home rider Layne Cupitt who was involved in a first bend bunching incident in heat two.

But his reserve partner Ryan Kinsley stepped up to the plate in fine fashion as he top scored for the hosts and guided them to three huge league points.

King's Lynn chief Rob Lyon said: "It was another great home performance from the team and it was another very encouraging performance.

"The whole team chipped in with some important contributions but Ryan Kinsley deserves extra credit.

"Seven rides can be tough for man and machine but he did a great job as did the rest of the boys.

"We send our best wishes to Layne, Robert Parker and Sam Bebee and we hope they're injuries aren't too serious."

The Young Stars are back in action next Wednesday (May 11) when they host reigning champions Birmingham who are unbeaten in 2016.

KING’S LYNN 54: Ryan Kinsley 13+1, Tom Stokes 13, Nathan Greaves 10+2, Scott Campos 7+1, Josh Bailey 7+1, Shane Hazelden 4+2, Layne Cupitt 0.

MILDENHALL 35: Jon Armstrong 11, Connor Mountain 10+1, Jake Knight 5, Connor Coles 5, Alfie Bowtell 2+1, Robert Parker 2, Sam Bebee 0.
