EASTBOURNE V YOUNG STARS

Saturday June 25, 2016
KING'S Lynn Young Stars travel to Eastbourne on Sunday in the National League Knockout Cup (3.30).

The Stebbings Car Superstore side will be looking to keep the scores as close as possible ahead of their home leg - the date of which is still yet to be confirmed.

It promises to be an enthralling encounter with both teams in impressive form in 2016.

Young Stars ace Nathan Greaves believes it could be one of the meetings of the season.

"We're doing really well this year and Eastbourne are a very strong team, even more so at home, so it should be close," said Greaves.

"Eastbourne had some injuries but they strengthened up and have been getting some good results.

"We're a solid team as well and we've had some big results ourselves this season too.

"There's no reason why we can't go there and win but we just need to ride sensibly and keep things tight for the second leg."

With Josh Bailey on Premier League duty for Scunthorpe, the Young Stars have called upon in-form Kent rider Danny Ayres to deputise at No.1.

Eastbourne include World Under-21 finalist and Team GB squad member Adam Ellis as well as former Young Stars favourite Jake Knight.

EASTBOURNE: Adam Ellis, Gary Cottham R/R, Georgie Wood, Ellis Perks, Jake Knight, Luke Harris, Charley Powell.

KING'S LYNN: Danny Ayres, Scott Campos, Ryan Kinsley, Tom Stokes, Nathan Greaves, Lewis Whitmore, Shane Hazelden.
