RYE HOUSE 54 YOUNG STARS 36

Sunday September 11, 2016
KING'S Lynn Young Stars slipped to a 54-36 defeat at Rye House on another disappointing meeting on their travels.

It means the Stebbings Car Superstore side have picked up just four points on the road this season - a statistic which needs to improve quickly if they are to put on a late charge towards the National League play-off places.

Young Stars top-scorer Nathan Greaves said: "We went there looking to get some more points but unfortunately it just wasn't our day.

"We all gave it our best but it just wasn't good enough on the day.

"We're still feeling positive though; we've still got plenty of meetings to come and we won't give up on those play-offs until it's mathematically out of our reach."

Greaves picked up two wins on his way to 13 points.

Scott Campos and guest No.1 Jon Armstrong both had solid meetings while Ryan Kinsley, Lewis Whitmore and Taylor Hampshire all endured tougher evenings.

RYE HOUSE 54: Ben Morley 15, Robert Branford 11+1, Luke Priest 9, Sam Woods 7+1, George Hunter 7, Connor Locke 3, Matt Saul 2.

KING’S LYNN 36: Nathan Greaves 13, Jon Armstrong 7+1, Scott Campos 7, Taylor Hampshire 3+2, Ryan Kinsley 3+1, Lewis Whitmore 3, Tom Stokes r/r.
