PHILLIPS – WE MUST LEARN

Thursday April 13, 2017
KING'S LYNN Young Stars captain Danny Phillips says his side must get off to a good start when they travel to Birmingham on Good Friday (April 14, 7.30).

The Tile Giant Morello Racing Young Stars were beaten 54-36 by the reigning league Champions on Wednesday and found it difficult after suffering four fallers in the opening stages.

But Phillips says he and his team-mates must learn from their mistakes.

"We know it's going to be another tough meeting at Birmingham but we've just got to give it our best," said Phillips.

"Birmingham look solid all the way through again this year and all we can do is make sure we give it 100 per cent.

"If we can cut out the silly little errors and stay competitive then we're a lot better team than we have been in our first few meetings.

"We lost at Perry Barr to Cradley the other week, but hopefully now we know what we can expect from the track, we can put up much more of a fight against Birmingham."

The Young Stars have once again booked Luke Priest to guest in place of Josh Bailey who will be at The Adrian Flux Arena as the Stars host Rye House in the SGB Premiership.

Meanwhile, the rider replacement facility will operate for Lewis Whitmore who is still away on an educational trip.
