YOUNG STARS v EASTBOURNE, PREVIEW

Tuesday May 02, 2017
KING’S LYNN Young Stars are aiming to secure their first win of the season when they host Eastbourne at The Adrian Flux Arena on Wednesday (7.30).

The Norfolk outfit have endured a tough start to their SGB National League campaign after suffering heavy defeats to both Cradley and Birmingham.

Lynn chief Dale Allitt will stand in once again as guest team manager and is hopeful the Young Stars can put in a much improved performance.

“I think we’re in for a good meeting against Eastbourne as they’re a solid looking side,” said Allitt.

“From our point of view, Josh Bailey is looking to use his National League meetings to keep his head and his confidence up and he knows he can get the better of the Eastbourne lads to do that.

“Danny Phillips is keen to reach double figures again and hopefully we’ll see Ryan Kinsley using his GTR engine.

“The only time he’s ridden it before was the day directly after he’d received it which was far from ideal. But a few weeks have passed since then so he’s had more chance to work with it and get a bit of practice in and hopefully we’ll see the results of that on Wednesday.

“As for the rest of the team, they’ve just got to go out there, stay composed and give it their best.”
