WOLVERHAMPTON v STARS, PREVIEW

Sunday September 03, 2017
IN-FORM Thomas Jorgensen is hoping collective spirit can help to inspire King’s Lynn to victory at title hopefuls Wolverhampton on Monday (approx 9pm).

The Trucks R Us Stars are second on the bill in a Monmore Green double header after Wolves have taken on Swindon in a 7.30 start.

For King’s Lynn, it is the final SGB Premiership fixture prior to the cut-off date and they should have a good idea of what is required to avoid bottom spot as Leicester, two points behind the Stars, finish their campaign with a 7.30 start at Rye House.

Jorgensen has bagged 10 chequered flags out of 35 races on the road since signing and has a slightly better average away from the Adrian Flux Arena, prompting belief he can contribute at a notoriously-tough venue for visiting riders.

“I have worked hard and have been taking every meeting as it comes,” said Jorgensen. “I have not really looked at my average or done anything different.

“So far, I have tried to focus on my gating and of course, it is a lot easier if you get out in front by the end of turn two.

“It has been going well for me personally but I have had some tough meetings too and there have been a few of changes to the team.

“Everybody talks in the pits and we have great team spirit, we all want to win every race and while it has been hard for the team there is still a nice atmosphere.

“We win as a team and lose as a team and that is important, to help each other.”

Number one Robert Lambert is back from World Under-21 Team Cup duty with Simon Lambert again in for Nicklas Porsing. Wolves have announced a full one to seven.

Admission for both meetings is £25 for adults, £20 concessions, £10 for juniors with under-13s able to attend for free.

WOLVERHAMPTON: Freddie Lindgren, Kyle Howarth, Rory Schlein, Jacob Thorssell, Sam Masters, Mark Riss, Nathan Greaves.

KING'S LYNN: Robert Lambert, Thomas Jorgensen, Michael Palm Toft, Kai Huckenbeck, Tomas H Jonasson, Josh Auty, Simon Lambert.
