KEITH Chapman expects popular Dane Thomas Jorgensen to shine for King’s Lynn next season.

Jorgensen was unveiled as the first name for 2018 at the Adrian Flux Arena towards the end of last term and Stars owner Chapman predicts a bright future for the rider.

And he says getting the signature of Jorgensen was just the start the club needed for team building.

Said Chapman: “Getting Thomas back on board was an ideal start to team building because he’s a real favourite with the fans already at King’s Lynn.

“He’s still relatively young as well so he’s a real prospect and if he has another good year at King’s Lynn next season then who knows he might be a familiar face for many more years to come as well.”

Chapman has also emphasised how keen he is to banish the blues of last season which saw the Trucks R Us Stars go from play-off hopefuls to relegation candidates.

He said: “I understood the frustrations of the supporters last year but as I’ve said previously, nobody was more frustrated than me.

“I let things slip a bit last year but I won’t let that happen again I can assure you.

“We want to be back in those play-offs next season and have a bunch of riders who will give it their all for the club and the supporters.”

Chapman will attend the sport’s crucial AGM next weekend both as Lynn promoter and chairman of the British Speedway Promoters’ Association.
