RYE HOUSE v STARS, PREVIEW

Sunday May 27, 2018
KING’S LYNN travel to Rye House for the first A10 derby of the season in front of the BTSport cameras on Monday (7.30).

The Rockets will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing 98-82 aggregate defeat to Swindon in the Knockout Cup on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Tru Plant Stars will head to Hoddesdon with confidence flowing through the team after a superb 47-43 away victory against Belle Vue last time out.

The Stars have been dealt a blow in recent days, though, when it was announced that No.1 Niels-Kristian Iversen will miss their next two fixtures because of injury.

Stars’ boss Dale Allitt said: “Rye House is traditionally a difficult place to go, it offers some different kinds of challenges from other tracks but we have to remember that everywhere we have been, we have done well so far this year.

“We go there on the back of the win at Belle Vue which means we can have confidence because we have track specialists in our team too.

“The Rockets will be a threat on the own track because although they lost on aggregate in the Knockout Cup, they still got a convincing win against Swindon last time out. They have the likes of Edward Kennet, who is a track specialist at Hoddesdon.

“All the teams are in Premiership action on bank holiday Monday, which means we have no option than to use rider replacement.

“Although we have used rider replacement at home, it becomes a lot harder when you are the away team. All the boys can take one of the rides, though, which is good. If we keep doing what we have done so far, there is no reason why we can’t get something from it.”

RYE HOUSE: Chris Harris, Aaron Summers, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Edward Kennett, Scott Nicholls, Nicolaj Busk Jakobsen, Max Clegg.

KING'S LYNN: Niels-Kristian Iversen R/R, Michael Palm Toft, Ty Proctor, Thomas Jorgensen, Robert Lambert, Kasper Andersen, Lewi Kerr.
