STARS v BELLE VUE, PREVIEW

Sunday September 30, 2018
LOCAL lad Simon Lambert reckons King’s Lynn’s success is one in the eye for the detractors ahead of Monday’s date with destiny at the Adrian Flux Arena (7.30).

The Tru Plant Stars lead Belle Vue by eight points going into a home second leg in this season's SGB Premiership semi-final.

It comes on the back of Dale Allitt’s men topping the pile for the first time since joining British speedway’s elite with Boston-born Lambert keen to play his part from reserve.

“People wrote us off at the start of the year, it was similar at Peterborough but both teams I am riding for are sat top of the tree,” said Lambert.

“You get the critics but together we have done our talking on the track. You get all of these keyboard warriors but the answer is simple – come and try riding.

“I have been in and out at King’s Lynn but that doesn’t really matter, I still want to do well and am proud to represent the club.

“Everyone is pulling their weight and hopefully we can bring home the silverware.”

The Stars head into the clash with a full one to seven against the injury-hit Aces who will run a six-man team.

Swindon's Tobiasz Musielak rides at number five in place of Dan Bewley with rider replacement in operation for Craig Cook at number two.

The guest who will stand in for Mark Riss at number seven will be announced in due course.
