STARS BOSS: “WE CAN STILL DO THIS.”

KING’S LYNN boss Dale Allitt insists ‘we can still do this’ after losing Danish international Niels-Kristian Iversen for tonight’s Grand Final first leg at Poole (7.30).

Grand Prix ace Iversen was involved in a heavy spill in Tomasz Gollob’s Benefit meeting in Bydgoszcz – but the good news is nothing is broken, he simply needs to rest.

Now the Tru Plant Stars will use former Poole man Adam Ellis as cover at Wimborne Road with the deciding leg at the Adrian Flux Arena on Wednesday.

King’s Lynn are looking to win the top flight title for the first time in their history after finishing top of the table.

Boss Allitt said: “It was a tense day on Sunday with four of our team racing and we lost Niels.

“We have looked at all the options available to us and Adam is the best available tonight. He knows the Poole track and I’m confident he can do a solid job for us.

“Losing Niels is a major blow, but Poole have also lost Brady Kurtz through injury, so I believe we can still do this over two legs.”

POOLE: Chris Harris, Josh Grajczonek, Kacper Woryna, Nicolai Klindt, Nick Morris, Richie Worrall, Frederik Jakobsen.

KING'S LYNN: Robert Lambert, Erik Riss, Ty Proctor, Thomas Jorgensen, Adam Ellis, Michael Palm Toft, Simon Lambert.
