KING’S LYNN co-promoter Robin Brundle has heaped praise on both teams after a thrilling Premiership Grand Final.

Tru Plant Stars were edged out by four points as Poole claimed their eighth top flight crown under Neil Middleditch.

And Brundle said: “Congratulations to Poole, first and foremost, it is a fine achievement.

“It was a very competitive final providing great entertainment and tremendous exposure for the sport.

“It takes two top teams to make a final like that and we almost pulled it off.

“It’s been an amazing season for us, top of the Premiership table and now a silver medal winners. This is a great result and one that also validates our template for success in 2019.

“Now we have to focus on the Knockout Cup Final with Somerset, next Wednesday in Somerset and back to the Adrian Flux Arena on Thursday 19th Oct.

“Our 2018 journey has been well considered and executed and it would be a fitting to end the season to win this trophy. I can’t thank our fans enough for their incredible support on Wednesday and with their continued support I believe that we can deliver this victory.”
