SWINDON v STARS - PREVIEW

Wednesday May 08, 2019
BRITISH boys Robert Lambert and Craig Cook are on a collision course – 48-hours before teaming up in the World Pairs Championship!

King’s Lynn skipper Lambert takes his side to Swindon in a Premiership Supporters’ Cup tie on Thursday night – and the home side have booked Craig Cook to cover for injured skipper Jason Doyle.

Lambert, Cook and reigning World Champion Tai Woffinden are named in the GB squad for Saturday’s Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations qualifier at Belle Vue on Saturday.

And Lambert said: “I have to take each meeting as it comes, I can’t focus too much on Saturday because there’s a job to do for King’s Lynn at Swindon.”
Poultec Stars boss Peter Schroeck is pleased with the way his riders are performing right now.
“They are doing well,” he said. “But we need to click as a team and it will be tough at Swindon.
“If all seven of my boys perform to their true ability then there is no reason why we can’t go there and get a result. We got a point at Ipswich on Monday so it would be nice to go one better at Swindon in the cup.”

The home side are clear favourites to make the final but an away win for the Poultec Stars would throw the group wide open.

SWINDON: Craig Cook, Dawid Lampart, Troy Batchelor, Adam Ellis, Tobiasz Musielak, Zach Wajtknecht, James Shanes.
KING’S LYNN: Robert Lambert, Lewis Kerr, Ty Proctor, Erik Riss, Thomas Jorgensen, Michael Palm Toft, Kasper Andersen.
