KING’S Lynn racer Thomas Jorgensen stepped up his preparations for the new season as he returned from injury at Scunthorpe on Sunday.
Dynamic Dane Jorgensen enjoyed a promising return to track action with numerous practice laps leaving the 27-year-old reporting no ill effects after a long-standing shoulder injury curtailed his 2019 campaign.
Jorgensen is keen to make up for lost time in preparation for the new season - hoping to bounce back from a ‘disastrous’ year last time around.
“It somewhat surprisingly felt really good out there, I was obviously really worried about my shoulder but I couldn’t feel any pain which is a bonus,” said Jorgensen.
“Obviously I’ll be a bit sore tomorrow but I managed to put in loads of laps - I think I was out there around 10 times which is awesome.
“Last year was a disaster for me, I had such big expectations and it all just went down the drain. I trained so hard but it just didn’t happen for me.
“I’ve trained hard again this winter, even if it didn’t feel like it when I got back on the bike today but it’s always the same first time out.
“Hopefully things turn out better this year and I’m glad to be back.”
