KERR PREPARED ‘BETTER THAN EVER’

Friday May 22, 2020
LEWI Kerr admits he’s struggled to get his head around lockdown – after preparing ‘better than ever’ for a new season with King’s Lynn.

Kerr rode well at Scunthorpe in the charity meeting for the Benevolent Fund in March – just before the virus crisis swept the country.

Now local lad Kerr has no idea, like everyone else, when the new season can resume although the situation appears to be improving throughout the UK.

Kerr has been hosting online zoom fitness classes alongside wife Jessie and will be ready hit the ground running once the green light is given.

“It has been tough”, said Kerr. “I prepared better than ever having a great meeting at the Ben Fund starting on a high then it was pretty much on the way home I was told that we were going to go into Lockdown.

“It was quite a depressing journey home really just because I had done so well and I wanted to carry that on which is tough, but I am keeping busy.

“If anything I have stepped it up even more which is one positive which has come out of all of this, I have managed to do even more training than I normally do.

“I do a lot of fitness anyway and I focus on that a lot which is something that I really enjoy so I will be even more physically prepared, and hopefully I can take advantage of that.”

Meanwhile Kerr is the main interview in the latest issue of King’s Lynn’s season delay programme ‘Our Stars’.

There's also an in-depth interview with former favourite Richard Knight, plus boss Peter Schroeck and co-promoter Dale Allitt write their columns.

Stars fan Chris Milsom writes his column along with some topical speedway chat throughout including a Premiership piece with former British champion and TV pundit Kelvin Tatum.

Costing £2.25 and out on Monday you can order yours now to be delivered to your door at curtis-sport.com

All four previous issues are also available to complete the collection at no extra postage cost.

The series will continue as long as sales dictate there is a demand for the fortnightly read.
