KINSLEY GETS LAMBERT HELP

KING’S Lynn’s returning reserve Ryan Kinsley hopes the backing of European Champion Robert Lambert will put him on the road to success this year.

After being announced in the newly formed rising star system on Tuesday, the 22-year-old is returning to Lynn for the first time since 2017 - and he feels the time is right to join the Minors and Brady Stars.

“We are pushing on a lot harder now investing in my equipment which is maybe what I failed to do before,” said Kinsley. “I really did push on in the last year with the Young Stars but a lot of things have changed in terms of preparation and bikes.

“The last time I rode at Lynn I felt the best that I have ever felt on a bike so I am really looking forward to getting going and showing the fans how much I have come on.

“Robert and I go way back to the grasstrack days and he is backing me and giving me advice to help me get the right setup to get around King’s Lynn which is what I need to be able to compete with the top boys.

“It really is a huge help. It is overwhelming the little things, tips and advice he can give you that you just can’t get anywhere else.

“For him to help me is huge and I really think it’s the little things which will help me progress.”

Born in Norwich, Kinsley raced for the Young Stars National League side for three seasons and has had Championship experience with Scunthorpe.

He joins Craig Cook and Lewis Bridger as confirmed starters in the Adrian Flux Arena side with more signings expected to follow in the next few days.
