STARS READY FOR RESET

Wednesday July 21, 2021
KING’S Lynn are back at the Adrian Flux Arena on Thursday with a fresh outlook at the club.

They face a powerful Belle Vue side who won at Peterborough on Monday but new Stars boss Alex Brady is hoping to help the team to their first home win of the season.

Fans are reminded ordering online in advance is the fastest way to gain entry on the night but cash or card payment will be available for pay on the door supporters.

Brady takes charge of the team for the first time and a private practice and team meal has already been arranged to get to know his team quickly.

“I know a lot of the guys anyway and they impressed me at Sheffield last week when we went close to an away win,” he said.

“We know how tough Belle Vue will be and I don’t have a magic wand to wave, but we’ll be going our very best.”

Club owner Keith Chapman is hoping supporters will turn out in force to support the Stars in the new era.

“It’s been a disappointing season there is no doubt about that, but we want our season to start now,” he said.

“There will be some fans who won’t want to come because we’ve had poor results but I’d urge everyone to come along, take advantage of the glorious weather and enjoy some live speedway.

“Belle Vue have some super riders and I’m expecting a cracking meeting, hopefully our boys can carry on where they left off last week at Sheffield and it would be such a lift for us to get a result.”

German favourite Erik Riss has handed Lynn a big boost by declaring himself fit to return after a shoulder injury but Cameron Heeps is a week away from fitness and will be covered by the rider replacement facility which means his four programmed rides can be taken by colleagues.

KING’S LYNN: Thomas Jorgensen, Cameron Heeps R/R, Erik Riss, Lewis Kerr, Richard Lawson, Connor Mountain, Ricky Wells.

BELLE VUE: Brady Kurtz, Richie Worrall, Steve Worrall, Charles Wright, Dan Bewley, Tom Brennan, Jye Etheridge.
