LEAGUE LEADERS UP NEXT

Wednesday August 25, 2021
KING’S Lynn boss Alex Brady says Thursday’s night’s clash with league leaders Wolverhampton is the kind of meeting his riders should relish.

In what is the penultimate home meeting of the season, it’s a classic bottom v top showdown with Brady looking for his side to spring a surprise.

Wolverhampton saw a brilliant nine match winning run ended at Peterborough on Monday and Brady insists his riders can go into the meeting with no pressure.

“It’s a meeting for our guys to go out and enjoy,” he said. “The same applies to our brilliant fans, we know Wolverhampton are a great team and we know we aren’t going to make the play-offs so we can only enjoy the evening.

“Sadly there’s not a lot more live speedway left at King’s Lynn this season so we have to make the most of our remaining two meetings and our fans know it’s a long winter!”

Brady has, however, said the club are looking to the current crop of riders to give them something to think about ahead of 2022.

“We’re already looking at team options for next year,” he said. “We want these guys to show us how much they want to be a part of a big year for King’s Lynn as we look to bounce back from this really tough year both on and off the track.

“The fans have been brilliant. They have stayed behind us and it would be great to see a big crowd against the league leaders.

“They beat us very early in the season but we’re a different team now and we’ll give it everything we’ve got I have no doubt about that.”

Tickets are available from the club website homepage link and fans are reminded this is the fastest way to gain entrance to the Adrian Flux Arena – but the box office will also be open on the night.
