KERR’S THANKS TO STARS CHIEFS

Friday February 11, 2022
LEWIS Kerr has paid tribute to King’s Lynn bosses for handing over their plum opening date of the season for his testimonial.

Kerr is working hard on his big day which takes place on Sunday March 20 and includes an impressive field including Stars legend Niels-Kristian Iversen and new signings Peter Kildemand and Richie Worrall.

Norfolk favourite Thomas Jorgensen has also been added this week and the meeting is set to pull in a bumper crowd.

Said Kerr: “I want to thank both Keith (Chapman) and Dale (Allitt) for allowing me the opportunity of having the first meeting of the season. It’s a big thing for me being a local lad and being able to stage a meeting like this at my home track.

“They have both been a great help over the past few weeks and they are both on hand to offer advice and help whenever I have needed it.”

Kerr is going for a fours event which always proves popular.

“The meeting will be a four team tournament followed by the top scorers racing it off in the second half of the meeting in a winner takes all final,” he said. “Things are progressing really well now with most of the sponsorship sold out.

“The latest name added to my meeting is Thomas Jorgensen. He has been a good friend for a few years now and is always easy going and has scored the points when the team have been up against it last season.

“He’s a firm favourite amongst the Lynn fans and he quickly said yes when I first approached him to be part of my big day.”

Kerr says he’s ready to go for the new season as his fitness campaign continues and his bikes are fully prepared.

“Preparations for the season are progressing well and the bikes are good to go now,” he said. “I’m hoping to get a skid in a couple of weeks providing the weather is kind.”
