SKIPPER MISSES PETERBOROUGH TRIP

Friday May 19, 2023
KING’S Lynn captain Josh Pickering has been forced to put his comeback on hold.

Pickering was hoping to return for the MacInnes Stars in their Sports Insure Premiership trip to Peterborough on Monday – where they will look to complete the double over their A47 rivals.

However, the Australian is still experiencing too much discomfort in his shoulder and will therefore sit out the local derby return fixture.

The Stars had already made plans for this eventuality by putting Belle Vue’s Tom Brennan on stand-by to guest at the East of England Arena, and Brennan will therefore line up at reserve on Monday.
