KING’S Lynn are delighted to announce the club will once again be backed by PSH Environmental Ltd as main team sponsors in 2025.
The locally based waste management and skip hire company first came on board with the Stars this year, and agreement has been reached for an extension.
It’s another major boost for the club, who declared their full line-up for next year’s ROWE Motor Oil Premiership campaign almost immediately after the sport’s recent AGM, with the signings attracting plenty of interest and excitement.
PSH, which was established in 1985 as Parkers Skips, have enjoyed another strong year culminating in their recent nomination for three MRW National Recycling Awards.
The ceremony took place in London this week where PSH were named Recycling Facility of the Year due to their commitment to sustainable waste management, which ensures everything passing through their site is either recycled or converted to energy.
Judges at the event commented that “they have shown what is possible, and if others did the same, the impact would be incredible.”
Earlier this year, PSH were officially declared as a carbon neutral organisation, recognised by Carbon Neutral Britain for their efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions produced from waste degeneration.
PSH Environmental Director Daniel Parker said: “We’ve looked a lot at what we’re doing on site and how we can self-improve, and we’ve done a lot of heavy re-investment into the yard with our purchase of another electric shredder.
“We don’t like to send anything away – we’re the one-stop shop for all materials, that can come onto the site from a binbag to a mattress, and we’ve got to process that material down to the right size and then spin it around and try to sell it as product.
“We’ve now invested more into another part of the wash plant down at the bottom of the yard so we can actually recycle aggregates.
“We’re trying to create a circular economy with the waste that we’re bringing in, so we’re not just keeping it as waste – we’re trying to spin it on its head and turn it into product.
“Even with the secondary shredder we’ve got now, we’re shredding wood down that’s going for chipboard, panel board, whereas we were sending it to biomass, and we’re probably doing half and half now.
“So for all the waste we’re getting in, we’re trying to raise it up the waste hierarchy to try and do something with it. There’s been a lot of re-investment over the last few years, and we haven’t really stopped – there’s always something to improve!”
PSH Environmental is a family business which covers all areas of the county, and they are firm supporters of motorsport in general – an interest which has been passed down family generations.
And like so many Stars supporters, they are excited to see what the 2025 team is going to be capable of in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership.
Parker said: “We saw the potential this year which was our first year of sponsoring the team, although we had a run of bad luck with riders and the weather, and really where we were in the league was rather out of our control.
“If we’d had the form the team were in at the end of the season all the way through, and the luck with us, I think we could have been contenders near the top.
“We’re excited about next year, the outlook is all very positive and Keith (Chapman), Rob (Lyon) and Dale (Allitt) have done a great job to put the line-up together.
“Everyone in that team is capable of scoring a good seven to ten points on any night, and we saw some of them as guests this year so hopefully they can pull off the same sort of performances in the year coming!
“Obviously the support from the King’s Lynn fans is key for the riders and the management, so I’d urge everyone to keep the support going and hopefully we’ll be up there competing at the top of the table.”
King’s Lynn promoter Keith Chapman said: “It’s a great Christmas present for the club to have this partnership extended and in fact increased from this year.
“It gives us really good continuity, and I’m particularly pleased that we are linked with a local company who have been so supportive of what we’re doing.
“It continues the positive vibes of the last few weeks and already we can’t wait to get started next season.”
