BEN Cook enjoyed his best round of the Australian Championship series with fourth place at Albury-Wodonga on Wednesday.
Cook scored 11 points in the qualifying races and then won his semi-final ahead of the Holder brothers Chris and Jack, and Keynan Rew.
But he found himself just off the rostrum as Rohan Tungate took the win in the Final ahead of Brady Kurtz, with Chris Holder third and Cook fourth.
With the planned final round at North Brisbane this weekend cancelled due to the weather forecast, the series has been brought to an end after three events.
Kurtz was a clear winner overall on 53 points ahead of Jack Holder on 42 and Chris Holder on 38, whilst Cook finished in sixth place on 27, one point ahead of his brother Zach, and also in front of Josh Pickering and Jaimon Lidsey.
