KING’S LYNN host Leicester on Monday (April 14, 7.30pm) in an important early ROWE Motor Oil Premiership contest at the Adrian Flux Arena.
After an encouraging start against Oxford in the Knockout Cup, the PSH Environmental Stars have since lost their opening three league outings.
Whilst they suffered a great deal of misfortune in their narrow 46-44 defeat to Champions Belle Vue in Norfolk last time out, their two away fixtures last week proved to be much more testing nights with consecutive 57-33 defeats to the Aces and then Sheffield.
Stars racer Richard Lawson admits those performances were both unacceptable but says securing their first league points of the season on Monday will help them look towards the rest of the campaign.
“We need to bounce back good because it’s not good enough,” Lawson said.
“It was a bad week and we need to put it behind us.
“We need to regroup and come back stronger.
“I’ve had some poor performances at home with a couple of mechanicals that have let me down.
“But I want to come back with a good score and hopefully we can win as a team.”
Monday marks the start of the Easter holidays with kids 12 and under admitted for free.
The PSH Environmental Stars revert to their previous home riding order whilst last year’s league runners-up Leicester have just one new face in their side with Kyle Howarth making the winter switch from Sheffield, Drew Kemp having rejoined on the eve of the season in place of Craig Cook.
