KING’S Lynn have been forced into a change of plan for Monday’s ROWE Motor Oil Premiership clash with Ipswich as their planned guest Peter Kildemand has been ruled out.
The Dane was due to stand in for Ben Cook in the local derby at the Adrian Flux Arena, but he is unable to take the booking after crashing out of a meeting at German venue Ludwigslust on Saturday.
With other potential guest options exhausted, the PSH Environmental Stars will now operate the rider replacement facility for Cook, who did make his comeback on Sunday after two months out with a broken scaphoid.
The Australian scored 12 points for his Metalkas 2. Ekstraliga club Leszno but was examined by medical staff after the meeting complaining of further wrist pain.
With further treatment and rehab work required, Cook has been ruled out of racing for a further seven days, and a medical certificate has been provided to the Speedway Control Bureau (SCB).
The SCB have confirmed that the Stars will be granted a facility for his absence during this period, which also includes their trip to Sheffield on Thursday.
