KING'S Lynn favourite Jan Kvech has been named as Czech Republic captain for the upcoming FIM Speedway of Nations at Torun.


Kvech will lead the Czech challenge in the second semi-final on Wednesday October 1 as they look to book a place in the Final on Saturday October 4.

His fellow squad members are Vaclav Milik, exciting youngster Adam Bubba Bednar, Daniel Klima and Adam Kamenik, with that list to be trimmed to three riders before the tournament.

Opposition in the meeting comes from Argentina, Australia, Denmark, Finland, France and Ukraine with a top three place needed to make the Final.

Meanwhile youngster Luke Harrison is in the Great Britain squad for FIM Speedway of Nations 2 which also takes place at Torun.

The one-off event is on Friday October 3, and Harrison will be hoping to make the final three for GB, who will be captained by Dan Thompson.

The other riders selected are Luke Killeen, Sam Hagon and Jake Mulford.
