STARS v BELLE VUE, PREVIEW

Wednesday August 27, 2025
KING'S Lynn welcome defending champions Belle Vue to the Adrian Flux Arena on Thursday (7.30pm) in their penultimate fixture of the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership season.

The PSH Environmental Stars were emphatic winners at Oxford on Monday, and they are now looking to sign off in 2025 with a pair of home wins.

There are two attractive matches ahead with the Aces first up, followed by Sheffield on Monday with both visiting teams keen for the points as they jostle for positions in the top four of the table.

Belle Vue are currently third on 37 points, and they must win on Thursday if they are to have a realistic chance of finishing in the top two.

The Manchester side are led by World Championship contender Brady Kurtz who will then head to Wroclaw for the penultimate GP of the season this Saturday as he continues to put pressure on Bartosz Zmarzlik at the top of the standings.

With former British Champion Dan Bewley and the fast-gating Jaimon Lidsey also in town, the Aces have plenty of points scoring potential, and they have recorded four away wins so far this year.

Three of them came against the current bottom two sides, Oxford and Birmingham, but the other was on their last visit to the AFA way back in March when the

Stars suffered a night of incredible mechanical misfortune before Bewley edged out Chris Harris in a classic Heat 15.

Team manager Rob Lyon names a full-strength line-up with Ben Cook, a man in form at Oxford on Monday, racing against the club with whom he won the title last season.

Cook said: "It's been a strange old season for me this year, but I'm starting to feel a bit more comfortable on the bike again, and I'm having some fun.

"The season is coming to an end which is a shame, and it could have been a good year with the boys but unfortunately the injury gremlin struck again "“ but that's speedway sometimes.

"I was pretty busy with the injury, doing a lot of rehab and physio, and that was its own job itself! But now it's nice to be back riding."

KING'S LYNN: Jan Kvech, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Chris Harris, Richard Lawson, Nicolai Klindt, Ben Cook, Luke Harrison.
BELLE VUE: Brady Kurtz, Norick Blodorn, Jaimon Lidsey, Zach Cook, Dan Bewley, Tate Zischke, Jake Mulford.

PLEASE NOTE: Supporters should be aware that the A17 will be closed at Sutton Bridge from 7.30pm tonight and diversions will be in place - please plan your route home accordingly.
