FRICKE THIRD AS LAMBERT TAKES GP LEAD

Sunday September 13, 2026
KING’S Lynn No.1 Max Fricke secured a podium finish in Saturday’s FIM Grand Prix of Denmark to give his top seven hopes a major boost.

The event at Vojens was abandoned before the closing stages with Fricke classified third and taking 16 GP points.

He had been involved in the aborted attempt to stage the Last Chance Qualifiers, being brought down by Fredrik Lindgren on the third bend, and before the race could be re-started conditions became unsuitable with a halt eventually called after a lengthy delay.

It means Fricke is in a three-way tie for sixth place with Kacper Woryna and Patryk Dudek, all on 89 points, whilst Leon Madsen is just one ahead on 90.

The top seven overall after the final GP in Torun on September 26 will confirm their places for the 2027 series.

Meanwhile Lynn favourite Robert Lambert will head into the title decider on his home Polish track with a real chance of being crowned World Champion.

Lambert was the winner in Vojens as he topped the scorechart after Heat 20, and it continued a fantastic run which has seen him finish first or second in each of the last five GPs.

With title rivals Bartosz Zmarzlik and Brady Kurtz finishing outside the top four in Denmark, it means Lambert leads the standings on 142 points ahead of Zmarzlik on 141 and Kurtz on 139.

It was also a strong night for PSH Environmental Stars skipper Chris Harris on Saturday as he finished second in the Championship League Riders' Championship at Scunthorpe, behind 'home' rider Josh Pickering and ahead of Zach Cook and Sam Masters in the Final.
