KING’S Lynn fans are set for a nervous night on Monday as they hope their play-off hopes can remain alive – in a meeting which doesn’t actually feature their side.
The PSH Environmental Stars need rivals Ipswich to lose at second-placed Leicester in a critical fixture for the top four.
If they do, it means the Stars can overhaul the Witches by winning their final match of the league season at Northampton on Thursday.
Leicester are unbeaten at home all season so they will start as favourites, but Ipswich will doubtless be fired up to hit back from their home defeat to Belle Vue last week.
A draw would be enough to see the Witches put Lynn out of contention, but the significance of the Stars’ Super Heat victory last Thursday is that the aggregate point for Ipswich at Leicester – where they have a ten-point lead – would not be enough.
