CRADLEY 45 YOUNG STARS 27

Monday April 25, 2016
KING'S LYNN'S youngsters suffered a 45-27 defeat at Cradley in the Travel Plus National League on Monday.

It was a tough night for the Stebbings Car Superstore Young Stars who managed just one race win in a meeting which was abandoned after 12 heats.

King's Lynn No.5 Nathan Greaves, who was racing against his former club, said it's important the side don't dwell on the result.

Said Greaves: "We're obviously disappointed with the end result but this was only our second meeting.

"It was a big learning curve for us all but we'll bounce back.

"I was struggling for set-up tonight with the conditions being different to normal but there's nothing we can do about it now.

"We're back at home against Mildenhall next week and we'll be looking for another win there to build on the Stoke result from a few weeks ago."

Tom Stokes was the only race winner for the Young Stars in heat one as he chipped in with six points alongside Nathan Greaves and Josh Bailey who bagged three, second places apiece.

CRADLEY 45: Luke Chessell 12+1, Ashley Morris 9, Dan Bewley 8+1, Max Clegg 8, Ben Basford 5, Bradley Andrews 3+1, Jack Kingston R/R.

KING’S LYNN 27: Tom Stokes 6, Josh Bailey 6, Nathan Greaves 6, Scott Campos 4+2, Ryan Kinsley 2+2, Shane Hazelden 2, Layne Cupitt 1.
