ALLITT REVEALS NKI COVER PLANS

Thursday May 24, 2018
KING’S LYNN team manager Dale Allitt has revealed his plans to cover No.1 Niels-Kristian Iversen.

The Dane is set to undergo treatment on an ongoing shoulder problem which forced him to miss a chunk of last season.

It means he’s set to miss the Bank Holiday Monday (May 28) trip to Rye House and the home fixture against Somerset on Wednesday, May 30 (7.30).

The Tru Plant Stars will operate rider replacement for their trip to Hoddesdon, while Australian ace Sam Masters will deputise for the visit of the Rebels to the Adrian Flux Arena.

Said Allitt: “With all eight Premiership teams in action on Monday, we have no other option than to use rider replacement.

“It’s not ideal but what we can do is use any other rider in the team to cover Niels’ rides and we’re still confident we can head to Rye House and put in another positive performance.

“As for the Somerset home fixture we’ve booked Sam Masters. He’s been in great form for Wolverhampton lately and he’s more than capable of scoring some decent points at the Adrian Flux Arena.”
