KING’S LYNN are aiming to complete a home hat-trick.

And they’ll be up for revenge when they take on league leaders Somerset at the Adrian Flux Arena on Monday (7.30).

The Tru Plant Stars have only been beaten once at home this season - against the Rebels.

And if they can get the job it will complete three home wins in a week.

But Dale Allitt’s team will be on their guard against the West Country outfit.

Stars have been hit with an injury blow after recent signing Jason Garrity withdrew from their previous meeting with a hand injury. Club bosses acted swiftly, though, booking Lakeside racer Kyle Newman as a guest at reserve.

The visitors, meanwhile, are in excellent form and they’re unbeaten in seven meetings including away wins against Wolverhampton, Swindon and Poole in the KO Cup.

The Rebels travel to Norfolk without skipper and reigning World Champion Jason Doyle after the Aussie crashed out of the British Grand Prix, clipping Robert Lambert’s back wheel in heat 20.

Somerset have booked former World under-21 Champion Max Fricke as a guest at No.1 for the fixture against the Stars.

Tru Plant Stars’ boss Dale Allitt said: “We come up against Somerset in front of the TV cameras on Monday. They’re the only team to beat us at home; we then went there and got a draw, so it’s going to be close.

“Again, we have got to be at the top of our game, they’re top of the league and that’s not by luck, it’s because they’ve won lots of matches.

“We are a very, very good team and I think we keep proving that. I have said that we have to worry about what we do and not what everyone else does. We’ve been good on the road and we have matches to catch up on at home. If we keep winning those meetings at home then we’ll be in the play-offs.

“Every other team has had more meetings at home than we have, and we have got to catch up. We’ve got a busy August and we have got to maximise on that. When you look at our away record; four-point win at Leicester, three-point win at Belle Vue, two points at Somerset and one at Swindon - it’s not bad.

“We’ve done the hard work but we have got to make sure we don’t let it slip and keep winning at home.”
